COVID-19 Response

We Are Open!

With Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s executive orders 53 and 55 (closure of non essential business and the stay at home order) the Stonewall Jackson Inn is permitted to continue providing lodging and accommodation to our guests. We have maintained our incredibly high standard of sanitation and cleanliness. We are ensuring that our guests can adhere to social distancing practices and remain safe as they stay with us.

Updated Cancellation Policy

In order to better accommodate our guests with schedule changes and uncertainty we are waiving any cancellation fees and refunding all deposits for stays through June 30.

Help Us By Donating

Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our friends who have decided to help us preserve the legacy of the Stonewall Jackson Inn. If you would like to help us keep the lights on and return to normal operations, GoFundMe is matching donations made to the SJI and other local businesses.

Consider a Stay-cation

While long distance travel may not be advised and many vacations have been canceled, this summer is a great time to cure the cabin fever of quarantine and stay with us! For our friends and guests in the Shenandoah Valley: Rediscover Harrisonburg and enjoy a peaceful get away with out having to travel far.

Support Local Business

I just wanted to share a thought that Joel and I have been realizing on a very new level these last few weeks, and it’s this: small businesses really do need your help. I never ever would have thought about the implications in a situation like this, but now that we are small business owners and are surrounded by so many friends who are as well, I am really seeing things in a new light. This situation could very likely be completely devastating to a lot of small businesses, and everything you can do to support them is so important. We are thankful for every booking that comes in (which likely won’t be many at all for quite a while) because each one helps.

We also have made the sacrifice of eating out more than we normally would. Consider buying some gift cards or getting takeout from a small business during these next few weeks/months - you never know how much of a difference you’re making.
